Drawings
Self Portrait
This was my Final project for my Figure Drawing I class. The goal was to draw a self portrait of an obsession or a fear. I decided to go with both, my new obsession being art and my fear is not having enough time. I enjoyed creating this art because I never thought I'd draw people, especially myself, and it was scary how much it looked like me. This was created utilizing graphite on paper.
Tower Stack
This was one of my favorite pieces from Drawing II, we had to take objects we had and stack them into a tower and draw them, to create a variety of stuff to practice structure and shading. This was created using a normal Pencil and was extended with part of another paper.
Freddy Fazbear
This assignment was to find an object in our room and to draw just the outline, this was made in Drawing I, my first class for art, and I decided to go with a stuffed animal of my Freddy Fazbear, this was the first assignment that I received a compliment for, and will always have a place in my heart. This was made using pencil
Paper Directionality
This was another assignment in Drawing I, we had to make shapes with paper and pick one random object. We had to create a reference that looked good and had different shapes to practice structure. This was another piece where the structure was complimented and was very proud of how it came out. I made this using pencil.
Freddy in a coffin.
During Drawing II, there was a gallery of art and after we went through it as a class, we had to pick one piece from the gallery and then add an object of our choice into the piece to make it fit into the art, I decided to go with one that looked like an extended box, that made the shape of an object, and figured it'd fit with a stuffed animal in the coffin. This was another piece that was complimented from how the shading and structure looked. This was made using pencil.
Hands
During my Figure Drawing I class, we had a lot of assignments for drawings, during half of that course, I broke my right hand and so half of my assignments I had to draw using my left hand (my non-dominant hand). I've never drawn with my left hand at all, during my time in college for art, and I didn't wanna delay or give up, so I took the risk and decided to draw with my left hand and my teacher was very impressed with some of the work I created with my left hand and was even saying I could be a left-handed artist. This was one of those pieces that involved the left hand. This was created using a pencil.
Back Practice
This was a choose a figure and draw the whole body assignment in Figure Drawing I. I decided to go with a back shot because I never drew a back before and decided to use the assignment for the practice. This was made while using both of my hands since my right hand was starting to recover at this point in the class. This was made using a pencil.
Feet Practice
After making hands in our Figure Drawing I class, we moved on to making feet. Scrolling through a model website, picking different shaped and direction facing feet. We created a design and used it to practice structure and shading. This was created using a pencil.
Pastel Practice
This was created in Drawing II, the assignment was to pick from different pastel artists and pick one of their pieces and attempt to mimic the markings and colors, in order to practice from a professional and give us an idea of the mark making and how to go with it. This was created using Pastel.
Figure Artist Practice
During Figure drawing I, our teacher gave us a list of good artists that use graphite pencils for creating figures. I decided to go with this piece and make my version of it to practice, and since I have long hair, it made sense to draw something like this, to get a sort of practice of long hair. and I really enjoyed how this one came out. This was created using a pencil.
Head Skull
During the beginning of Figure Drawing I, I broke my right hand, so for the first half of the class, I had to draw using my left hand. This was very scary to me because I thought my grades were gonna suffer from losing my dominant hand, but I learned quickly that I am capable of drawing with both of my hands. This was one of those pieces. This was created using charcoal pencil.
Head Muscles
Along with the Head Skull assignment, this was a part of the same homework batch. This was also created using my left hand and was another version of drawing the human head. This came out really well, and I very much enjoyed the outcome of this piece especially since this was made with my left hand. This was made using charcoal pencil.
